Inspiration
The D&G collection for SS 2009 is inspired by the relaxed, free and timeless
elegance of the French Riviera and its unique style.
Fabrics and materials
Silk-twill, silk cotton, silk shantung, cotton drill, silk gauze poplin, seersucker,
oxford, silk jersey. Nautical-inspired prints on cotton drill and silk gauze.
Leather and suede.
Colours
White, navy blue and touches of red.
Style
Sharp yet relaxed.
Peak lapel and shawl collar one and two button suites, both with contrasting
stitching details, worn with shirts with contrasting cuffs, bow-ties and printed
pochettes.
Jersey vests, slim cut trousers.
Shirts and Bermuda shorts with nautical-themed prints.
Cotton knitwear to wear with a silk ‘neck-scarf’.
Leather, suede and cotton jackets.
White and Navy blue swimwear.
For the evening: silk shantung white tuxedoes worn with contrasting bow-ties
and printed pochettes.
